Welcome

As Principal of Richmond Primary School I wish to extend a whole-hearted welcome to you as you visit our new school website.

The site has been designed to give you all the essential information we think you may need to get a flavour of the wonderful pupils, staff and everyday life events associated with our school. Our aim is to share the many experiences the children enjoy and to demonstrate the high-quality learning that takes place at Richmond Primary School.

Richmond is a thriving school set in immaculate grounds on the edge of Ballygawley. As a rural school, Richmond Primary serves the community as the heart and soul of country life.

Our modern school building comprises of five well equipped classrooms, a Music/SEN room, two large open learning areas, Library areas, Staffroom, Principal's Office, Secretary’s Office, Canteen and Assembly Hall. Outside we have a well equipped outdoor learning area, wooden pirate ship, outdoor toy shed, wooden play house, large playground, grass sports pitch and a large amount of green space. We also boast a one-way system for parents to safely leave or collect their children.

We regard it as a privilege to share with parents, for a short time, the life and development of their children. We believe working in partnership with parents is at the core of success for all children. Working together enables rewarding outcomes for everyone.

Our school proudly boasts a strong Christian ethos and has very close links with local churches. We believe that through a good community ethos every stakeholder is listened to, respected and valued.

The children in our school are at the centre of everything we do, and it is my privilege to be Principal of such a school. We celebrate the success of our children both inside and outside school.
